Ekadasi UTPANNA
Suta Goswami said : Oh , Brahamanas ! , Long ago Lord Krishna explained the auspicious glories of Ekadasi and the rules and regulations that must be observed in this holy day of fasting.
O best of Brahmanas ! , Whoever hears about the origins and glories of the Sacred fasting, your days are going directly to the abode of Krishna after many different kinds of happiness in this material world .
Arjuna , the son of Pritha , asked the Lord : Oh , Janardana , what are the pious benefits of complete fasting , eating only soup, or just eat but half of Ekadasi and what are the regulations for observing the various Ekadasi days ? . Kindly tells all this to me.
The Supreme Personality of Godhead said : O Arjuna , in the beginning of winter , on the Ekadasi that occurs during the month of Margasirsa ( November-December ) a novice could start practice. On Dasami , the day before Ekadasi , he could clean your teeth carefully . Then , during the eighth portion of Dasami , when the sun is about to set, he could eat lunch. The next morning the devotee should make a vow according to the rules and regulations to observe fasting . At noon , he could properly bathe in a river , lake or a small pond. A bath in a river is to take purificatory bath in a lake and take a swim in a small pond is less purificatory . If either a river , lake or small pond is accessible, he could take a simple bathroom . The devotee should chant their prayers constantly Mother Earth names :
Mistosamente removes all sins I have accumulated through my past lives so that I could go to the abode of the Supreme Lord .
As the devotee chants could smear mud on your body. During the fasting day , the devotee should not speak to those who are fallen to their religious duties , to dog eaters , thieves or hypocrites . He should avoid talking to offenders , with those who abuse the demigods or brahmanas Vedic literature , or any other person evil as those who have sex with forbidden women , or who are known as looters or those who rob temples.
It would also be more purificatory for yourself is to look directly at the sun . Then the devotee should worship Lord Govinda with first class food , flowers, etc. .
At home he could worship the Lord by offering a lamp of Love Devotional . He could also avoid sleeping during the day and sex .
Fasting of all kinds of food and water , he could sing the Lord's glories and play musical instruments for pleasure through the night . And then stay up all night in pure consciousness. The worshiper could give charity to qualified brahmanas and offer his humble obeisances to them.
UTPANNA EKADASI
Suta Goswami dijo: Oh, Brahamanas!, hace mucho tiempo el Señor Krishna, explicó las auspiciosas glorias del Ekadasi y las reglas y regulaciones que se tiene que observar en este día santo de ayuno.
Oh, mejor de los Brahmanas!, quien quiera que escucha acerca de los orígenes y glorias de ese Sagrado ayuno, sus días van directamente a la morada de Krishna después de pasar muchos diferentes tipos de felicidad en este mundo material.
Arjuna, el hijo de Prtha, preguntó al Señor: Oh, Janardana!, cuáles son los beneficios piadosos del ayuno completo, comer solo sopa, o solo comer pero en la mitad del Ekadasi y cuáles son las regulaciones por observar los varios días de Ekadasi ?. Bondadosamente narra todo esto para mí.
La Suprema Personalidad de Dios dijo: Oh, Arjuna!, en el comienzo del invierno, en el Ekadasi que ocurra durante el mes de Margasirsa (noviembre-diciembre) un novato podría empezar su práctica. En Dasami, el día antes de Ekadasi, él podría limpiar sus dientes cuidadosamente. Entonces, durante la octava porción de Dasami, cuando el sol está cerca de ponerse, él podría comer un almuerzo. En la próxima mañana el devoto debería hacer un voto de acuerdo con las reglas y regulaciones para observar el ayuno. Al mediodía, él podría bañarse apropiadamente en un río, lago o un pequeño estanque. Un baño en un río es más purificatorio que tomar baño en un lago, y tomar un baño en un pequeño estanque es menos purificatorio. Si Tampoco un río, lago o pequeño estanque es accesible, él podría tomar un baño simple. El devoto debería cantar sus oraciones constantemente los nombres de Madre Tierra:
Mistosamente remueve todos los pecados que he acumulado a través de mis vidas pasadas así para que yo podría entrar a la morada del Señor Supremo.
Como el devoto canta, podría untar barro sobre su cuerpo. Durante el día de ayuno, el devoto no debería hablar a quienes son caídos con sus deberes religiosos, a los comedores de perro, a los ladrones o a los hipócritas. El debería evitar hablar con los ofensores, con aquellos quienes abusan de los semidioses, la literatura Védica o brahmanas; o con cualquier otra persona perversa tal como aquellos que tienen sexo con mujeres prohibidas; o quienes son conocidos como saqueadores o los que roban templos.
También sería más purificatorio para uno mismo es mirar directamente al sol. Entonces los devotos deberían adorar al Señor Govinda con comida de primera clase, flores, etc.
En su casa el podría adorar al Señor ofreciendo una lámpara de Amor Devocional. El podría también abstenerse de dormir durante el día y del Sexo.
Ayunar de toda clase de comida y agua, él podría cantar las glorias del Señor y tocar instrumentos musicales para su placer a través de la noche. Y luego permanecer despierto toda la noche en pura conciencia. El adorador podría dar caridad a brahmanes cualificados y ofrecer sus humildes reverencias ante ellos.
