One of the six Gosvamis of Vrindavan, very young received the mercy of Lord Caitanya. During a trip through southern India, Lord Caitanya stayed four months at Gopala Bhata home. Gopala Bhatta Goswami later joined the movement of Lord Chaitanya Sankirtan. It proved to be an expert on the rules of the Vaishnava scriptures, he wrote Vaishnava books, and established the temple of Sri Sri Radha-Ramana in Vrindavan. (See Sri Caitanya Caritamrta 10.105)

After the death of his parents, Gopala Bhatta went to Vrindavan, where he was received with love by Rupa Goswami and Sanatana Goswami. When Lord Chaitanya heard that Gopala Bhatta was in Vrindavan, he was very satisfied.
The Lord sent some of his personal belongings to Gopala Bhatta, also sent a letter of instruction to Gopala Bhatta to help Rupa and Sanatana compiling transcendental literature. Gopala Bhatta accepted the instruction of the Lord as their life and soul, and then took his disciple Srinivasa Acharya in devocional.Después service game of Sri Chaitanya, Gopala Bhatta took refuge in Prabhodananda Sarasvati.
