Quedandose mudos por esas duras palabras, Malyavan y Puspavati una vez convertido en un infierno de un hermoso bosque Nandana en el reino del cielo a las cumbres de los Himalayas aquí en el planeta tierra.
Inmesurablemente angustiados y su vasta inteligencia celestial disminuyó por los efectos de la maldición de Indra, Ellos perdieron sus sentidos del sabor, del olfato y sus sentidos del tacto. Esto era así de miserable y frío en la cima de los Himalayas, desolado de nieve y hielo que ellos no podían ni siquiera divertirse. Esto es absolutamente infernal. Si el infierno es muy terrible los sufrimientos que nosotros estamos pasando aquí es mucho más abominables.
Así los amados abandonados caminaron penosamente sobre la nieve y el hielo. Por su gran fortuna, sin embargo, este era un día que era Jaya Ekadasi, el Ekadasi de la quincena del mes de Magha. El Señor Indra estaba asombrado de ver que ellos retrocedieron a sus formas originales y tan pronto él los había maldecido para sufrir como demonios lejos muy lejos debajo de su reino celestial.
Indra les preguntó: Qué extraordinarios méritos alimentados ustedes han ejecutado, así que ustedes dejaron sus cuerpos de pisacas tan pronto después que los maldecí?. Quién los liberó de mi irresistible maldición?.
Malyavan respondió: Oh, Señor!, esto fue por la merced de la Suprema Personalidad de Dios, Señor Vasudeva y también por la poderosa influencia de Jaya Ekadasi, que nosotros estabamos liberándonos de nuestra condición sufrida como pisacas. Esto es la verdad, Oh, Maestro: porque nosotros ejecutamos servicio devocional al Señor Visnu por observar Jaya Ekadasi el día más querido a El, nosotros hemos felizmente restablecido de nuestras formas legales.
Indra dijo: Porque ustedes sirvieron al Supremo Señor Kesava, por observar Ekadasi, ustedes se han convertido en adorables para mí y Yo puedo ver que ustedes son ahora completamente purificados de pecado. Quien quiera que se ocupe en Servicio Devocional al Señor Hari o al Señor Siva se convierte adorable y digno de alabanza por mí. De esto no hay ninguna duda.
El Señor Indra entonces le dio a Malyavan y Puspavati libre riendas de divertirse en cada sitio y en cualquier parte de los planetas celestiales.
De esta forma, Oh, Yudhisthira!, uno podría observar estrictamente Ekadasi, el día del Señor Ekadasi especialmente en Jaya-Ekadasi, que libre de todo pecado incluso el de matar un brahmana.
