On this day, the holy advent of Srimati Visnupriya Devi occurred.
She is the eternal consort of Sri Gaurasundar in his feature of
Gaura-Narayana, and according to Sri Gauraganoddesa-dipika, she is
directly Satyabhama in Krishna's Dwaraka-lila.
She was the ideal of divine self-surrender at the lotus feet of Mahaprabhu.
When she was only fourteen, Mahaprabhu took sannyasa, and after that she lived the rest of her life in penance. From early morning she would take the Holy Name the whole day, and for every Mahamantra that she chanted, she would put one grain of rice into a clay pot. After chanting her quota, she would take that rice and cook it and offer it to the Lord. That was all she would take for her subsisitence, so gradually she became emaciated. She passed her days in this way.
Her brother was her guardian after Sacidevi departed, and ultimately she had a Sri Murti (Deity) of Mahaprabhu, and she would worship Him in that form. And since the time of Visnupriya, that worship is being continued up to the present in the Temple here in Navadvipa known as 'Mahaprabhura Badi (the house of Mahaprabhu). So this day of the year is connected with her holy memory, and we may achieve her Grace if we honor this time in her name, discussing her pastimes. she will be propitiated and Sri Caitanyadeva will also be pleased with us, giving us a step forward in our transcendental march towards him.

Srimati Vishnupriya devi fue la segunda esposa de Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, para aquel entonces, Nimay Pandit o Visvambara Prabhu. Ella apareció en el día de Saraswati puja, hija de Sanatana Misra, un brahmana de casta y pujari personal del Zamindar. Después de la partida de Laxmipriya devi, la primera esposa de Nimay, Saci mata, la madre de Nimai organizó Su segundo matrimonio con Visnupriya. Al poco tiempo de casarse con Visnupriya devi, Nimay fue a Kathwa a tomar sannyasi, sin su consentimiento, dejándola "viuda" contando tan solo "14" años de edad, una niña que apenas comenzaba su vida.
Visnupriya devi no quiso regresar a la casa de su padre, a pesar de las súplicas por

Vishnupriya devi, después que Nimay Pandit tomara sannyasi, mostro la actitud más elevada de alguien que ama de verdad, incondicional, y sin esperar ni recibir nada a cambio.Después de la partida de Saci mata, ella se quedó viviendo allí e instaló una
Deidad
de Mahaprabhu, conocida actualmente como Dhameswara Mahaprabhu.Ella
adoró a esta Deidad hasta el día de su desaparición cuando entró en la Deidad. Solía cantar su japa mala enfrente de esta Deidad, contando con granos de arroz cada ronda. Luego al finalizar, cocinaba el arroz reunido, se
lo ofrecía a la Deidad y luego lo comía. Como era lo único que comía,
con el tiempo su cuerpo se debilitó.Ayudó a expandir el bhakti hacia
Mahaprabhu junto con Nityanada Prabhu en Bengal. Después de su partida,
sus seguidores siguieron su ejemplo y practicaron el bhakti siguiendo su
humor.
