Lord Sri Ramachandra is a powerful incarnation of the Supreme Personality of Godhead as an ideal king . He appeared in Treta -yuga , more than two million years ago .This is a verse from Brahma- samhita in which the incarnation of Lord Ramacandra is described. Ramadi. Not only Rama , but there are many other , innumerable incarnations. They are compared with the waves of a river. Since you can not count the waves of the river or ocean waves , just as the number of incarnations of the Supreme Lord , you can not count them. But for them, the principal names are mentioned in the sastras . So Ramadi said . Ramadi Rama and also other , many incarnations. And they are existing . Not that one incarnation appeared and completed . No. Not so . As Lord Ramacandra appeared on this planet, say millions of years ago. He appeared in Treta - yuga. Treta -yuga means ... We have passed only five thousand years of this age, Kali- yuga. Before that, there was Dvapara - yuga. Dvapara -yuga means 800,000 years. And before that , there was Treta -yuga , which continued for two hundred thousand years. That means that at least two million years before Lord Ramacandra appeared on this planet.

Señor Sri Ramachandra es una poderosa encarnación de la Suprema Personalidad de Dios como un rey ideal. Él apareció en Treta-yuga, hace más de dos millones de años.

Este es un verso del Brahma-samhita en el que se describe la encarnación del Señor Ramacandra. Ramadi. No sólo Rama, pero hay muchos otras, innumerables encarnaciones. Treta-yuga significa ... Hemos pasado sólo cinco mil años de esta era, Kali-yuga. Antes de eso, había Dvapara-yuga. Dvapara-yuga significa 800.000 años. Y antes de eso, había Treta-yuga, que continuó durante mil doscientos miles de años. Eso significa que al menos dos millones de años antes el Señor Ramacandra apareció en este planeta.

The Supreme Personality of Godhead incarnated Himself as Sri Rama, appearing as the son of His pure devotee Maharaja Dasharatha, the King of Ayodhya. Lord Rama descended along with His plenary portions, and all of them appeared as His younger brothers. In the month of Chaitra on the ninth day of the growing moon in the Treta-yuga, the Lord appeared, as usual, to establish the principles of religion and to annihilate the disturbing elements.

On the day of Rama Navami, devotees fast till sunset. Lord Krishna is dressed as Rama and Lord Balarama is dressed as Lakshmana. Both are grandly decorated with ornaments, earrings, crown, a bow and a quiver of arrows.

Festivities begin in the evening with the Rama Taraka homa. During this homa, the Rama Taraka mantra is chanted 108 times. All the devotees rejoice in ecstasy by performing enchanting kirtanas from Valmiki Ramayana. On this occasion, they also remember Sri Hanuman, the foremost devotee of Lord Rama and his unparalleled devotional service to the Lord. They also pray to Sri Hanuman, so that he may bless them with advancement in devotional service.

Por orden de su padre Maharaja Dasaratha, el Señor Ramachandra vivió en el bosque de Dandakaranya durante catorce años, junto con su esposa Sita Devi y su hermano más joven, Lakshmana.
Después que el poderoso demonio Ravana secuestrara a Su esposa, el Señor Ramachandra, con la ayuda de su fiel siervo Hanuman, la recuperó y destruyó a Ravana y su ejército.
